Trouble figuring it out?
Recently, CBS has had to pay a large cash settlement related to what they did with an interview with Kamala Harris. One headline read, "Paramount agrees to pay $16 million to settle Trump's CBS lawsuit."
They seem to be having trouble figuring some things out. Here is an example from a recent Face the Nation.
Kristi Noem, Secretary, Homeland Security: "And the one thing that we will continue to do is to make sure that he doesn't walk free in the United States of America, this individual was a known human smuggler; MS 13 gang member; An individual who is a wife beater and someone who was so perverted that he solicited nude photos from minors and even his fellow human traffickers told him to knock it off. He was so sick in what he was doing and how he was treating small children. So he needs to never be in the United States of America, and our administration is making sure we're doing all that we can to bring him to justice."
That was the original. This is the edit that they aired: "And the one thing that we will continue to do is to make sure that he doesn't walk free in the United States of America".
Here is an unrelated interview: Ailsa Chang (host of the NPR newsmagazine All Things Considered) and Senator Amy Klobuchar regarding the Minnesota school shooting.
Senator, "He hated a lot of different groups. It wasn't one ideology or another."
An immediate interruption.
Host, "We're going to have to leave it there. - cross talk - And just a point of clarification. Senator Klobuchar referenced the shooter as 'he' although police have identified a suspect, it's still unclear at this time with that person's gender is or how they identify."
Try to get a grip on reality. We've just had children murdered. We don't care if the wrong personal pronoun was used. You're applying empathy to the wrong people. Parents?
