I am humbled and honored that my colleagues have once again put their trust in me to serve as president pro tempore of the Wisconsin State Senate.

I was first elected to the role in November of 2020 and succeeded Senator Howard Marklein, who is the current co-chair of the budget-writing Joint Finance Committee.

Please know that I remain committed to carrying out the duties of the position with fairness, civility and respect.

As president pro tempore, I will often preside over the Senate while in session. I am also tasked with performing the responsibilities of incoming Senate President Mary Felzkowski whenever she is unavailable.
