WFC Kicks Off LEAD WI Camp This Week!

On Sunday, we kicked off our 5th annual LEAD Wisconsin summer camp for teens all around the state (and even some from out of state!) who are passionate about developing their faith, worldview, and leadership skills.

We are excited to be able to pour into over 125 campers this July. Every year, we are reminded of just how hungry Wisconsin youth are for Christ-centered connections and developing their political and biblical worldview.

Our incredible LEAD Camp Director, Sierra Cochran, has worked hard to put together an outstanding schedule with dynamic speakers and challenging activities. She and our staff have worked diligently to put the final touches on assembling resources, planning, and organizing to make this camp effective and memorable for all the teenagers in attendance.

At the beginning of camp on Sunday, our teens were divided into four tracks: Assembly, Senate, Media, and Business. All first-year campers are enrolled in the Assembly track, where they will role-play as representatives for the week. Alumni campers choose from the Senate, Media, or Business tracks, where they take on the roles of senators, reporters, and business executives.

But this camp isn’t all work and no play–we also incorporate game times that include trivia, slip ’n slide kickball, glow-in-the-dark ultimate frisbee, and more. Our goal is for campers to come away from this week not only equipped with a biblical worldview and civic knowledge, but with like-minded new friends and a fun-filled experience, as well.

We’re privileged to welcome Frank Figueroa from Reasons For Hope to the camp this year as our main speaker; campers and staff alike are already being challenged, informed, and entertained!

We believe God will use this program to raise up a generation of strong, conservative leaders who are grounded in a biblical worldview. Will you join us in praying that God will bless the campers’ time at LEAD this week? We can’t wait to share testimonies and praise reports with you next week after the camp wraps up on Friday.
