America has always been a melting pot of ideas. Notice I stated "ideas" and not race. While there are many racial differences within our borders it is our ideas that truly differentiate us. When we can respectfully communicate our different ideas without slander or malice that is when America is at its finest.

Unfortunately, there are those in various aspects of our society who wish to sow the seeds of dissension between us. They wish to drive wedges between the various types of people living here. Whites versus blacks. Straights versus gays. Christians versus Muslims. Etc, etc. These forces will manipulate news, manipulate facts, manipulate scientific research, and manipulate us into an "us versus them" mentality which harms the natural order of our people.

Don't allow them to use you in this manner. Verify what they call "facts" and make sure they are true and not manipulated to support an agenda. Find primary sources of information instead of taking anyone's word for it. Call your conservative or liberal relative to have a conversation with someone you trust and find out what they really think and why.

This is the only way I know of to truly understand what is happening on a day-to-day basis. It requires hard work but our nation is worth it.
