How is Inflation Impacting Your Back-to-School Shopping?
Back-to-school season is quickly approaching, and many parents are heading to the store to buy their child’s school supplies. However, inflation has increased the cost of nearly every item, making it more difficult for families to prepare their child for the new school year. According to a report from the National Retail Federation, parents with children in elementary through high school can expect to spend an average of $874.68 on clothes, shoes, school supplies, and electronics – the second-highest budget in the survey’s history.
With the increased costs on groceries, gas, and other everyday essentials, it’s understandable that parents are concerned with affording their child’s back-to-school supplies. No child should be less-equipped for success because of the inflation created by the Biden-Harris administration.
