We had a really good turnout at this year’s CouleeConservatives.com Night at the Logger’s Game and many people participated in the annual survey as well.

All the participants of the survey were entered into a drawing to win a copy of the Mark Levin book, ‘The Democrat Party Hates America’ and I’m pleased to announce that Pam was our winner. Congratulations!

I was a little surprised at the results of this survey. In past surveys, the economy rose to the top of the list of issues that people were concerned about but this year 75% of our participants agreed it is: Secure the Southern Border.

One response that I was not surprised by is that 75% of our participants are fully aware of the two State Constitution amendment questions on the ballots. I wasn’t surprised by this because our Coulee Conservatives are very smart people who are engaged in learning and growing through knowledge.

In addition, I was very pleased to see that 100% of respondents are supporting President Trump, Congressman Derrick Van Orden, State Senator Patrick Testin, Ryan Huebsch for 94th Assembly, Cedric Schnitzler for 95th Assembly, Loren Oldenburg for 96th Assembly, Nancy VanderMeer for 70th Assembly, and Treig Pronschinske for 29th Assembly.

In another surprise, only 90% of respondents are currently supporting Stacey Klein for 32nd Senate District. This tells me that Stacey needs to keep working hard to build on the momentum that she has already started.

Another surprise was that only 88% are supporting Hovde in the U.S. Senate race. This is another indicator that Eric Hovde needs to put his campaign into a higher gear to reach out to even more voters. Or, it may mean that Raveendran’s campaign has garnered some support in our area in her primary effort against Hovde.

Finally, and most important of all, almost 70% of our participants agree that we can turn the Coulee Region red with Republican representation IF, and ONLY IF, we all pitch in to help these campaigns. I was very happy to see that several people are interested in helping by writing letters for CouleeConservatives.com and local newspaper opinion columns but there were also many who are willing to contribute in other meaningful ways such as door knockers, phone banks, taking friends to the polls, etc.

This is how elections are won!

We will not win by watching political pundits on T.V. We will not win by listening to talk radio. We will not win by downloading podcasts. We will only win when every single one of us votes and gets at least 10 others to vote too.

Thank you all for participating in this critical election season. Use the ‘Contact’ button at the top of the screen to reach out to me with your letters, questions, or any other feedback.

Name recognition, and familiarity. The other reason is there are still many people who vote for the first name on the ticket. Our candidates must finesse potential voters, and do it 18 hours a day!
