“Elections have consequences” …and so do votes

Remember in early 2009 when the recently elected President Obama uttered the now famous snub “Elections have consequences” when meeting with Congressional Republicans shortly after his inauguration? He quickly added “I won”. Rumor has President Obama adding “Get over it” but I cannot validate this part of the quotation. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has expressed the same divisive and caustic sentiment.

On Tuesday, November 3rd the contrast could not be greater. President Trump stands for “We the People”, law and order, and the American Flag. He does #BackTheBadge and has the endorsement of nearly all Police Unions including the NYPD and the Fraternal Order of Police. Our President believes in the entrepreneurial spirit of small businesses, has lowered taxes, reduced government regulations and our economy flourished. Trump Policies have led to the lowest national unemployment rate our country has ever experienced.

The reason we're winning is we're doing the job that a candidate is supposed to be doing. It's funny that you talked about this virtual rally. Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Ron Kind are all phoning in this campaign because they're assuming they have this election in the bucket and they simply do not. Our district is 11,000 square miles, we have 18 whole and partial counties in it. I've been home I think 8 days in the last 9 weeks and that's what you've got to do because that's the job.

What happened to the party of JFK?

President John F. Kennedy was a remarkable person; he took the bull by the horns and inspired America. I was 11 years old when he was assassinated and remember that day like it was yesterday. Kennedy gave us a mandate; “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." What a great concept, that mentality made America great. Everyone pitching in, working hard, taking personal responsibility, providing for ourselves and our families.

Monroe County’s Awesome Assemblymen

Ever since Rep. Nancy Van derMeer (R-70th) defeated an entrenched career politician in 2014, Monroe County’s three Assemblymen should be considered awesome as they listen to, help solve problems for, and actively represent their constituents at the State Capitol. The Democrat incumbent that Van derMeer defeated listed her occupation as full time legislator and in the five years between her college graduation and her first election had been a legislative aide to a long-term Congressman and an Area Program Director for the Minnesota Farm Bureau.

As we wind down to Election Day 2020 this is the season to talk about truth in political advertising. I started my research on-line looking for “Truth in Advertising” and immediately found about 748,000,000 results. I narrowed the search to “Truth in Political Advertising” and immediately found only 198,000,000 results. This would indicate that I am not the only citizen with a concern for truth in political advertising.

When Facebook stifles the use of their platform to political organizations that they don't like then should that be considered as an in-kind contribution to the candidates who benefit from this authoritarian policy?

The Republican Party of La Crosse is being denied the opportunity to promote local Republican candidates. Will the Democrats who benefit from this report Facebook as in-kind contributions? Should the Federal Elections Commission investigate this practice to make sure our election laws are being followed?

Ron Kind Refuses to Share Stage with Van Orden at Chamber of Commerce Forum

Ron Kind is hiding because he knows I will expose the lies he continues to tell the people of the 3rd District. While thousands of businesses have shuttered during the shutdown, he has collected over $100,000 in taxpayers money while he has done nothing.

Ron Kind is bad for business, he has never run a business and does not know how difficult it is like Sara and I have. I was on the board of the Chamber of Commerce, and know the value of our Chambers.
