America has always been a melting pot of ideas. Notice I stated "ideas" and not race. While there are many racial differences within our borders it is our ideas that truly differentiate us. When we can respectfully communicate our different ideas without slander or malice that is when America is at its finest.

Attempted Hack from China

Ever since we launched the re-designed CouleeConservatives.com web site we have been defending ourselves from hacking attempts. This is the world we live in today. The image you see is the back trace I did on the most recent attempt which happened to originate in China.

Other attempts came from Eastern Europe and one from France. Defending the web site against these kinds of attacks is a major pain in the butt. It is not rocket science but it is Computer Science so there is some work to be done and most of that work is research.

County Governments and Abuse of Power

A few years ago, I attended a Trempealeau County Board of Adjustment hearing to witness the level of justice in an average hearing. The Board of Adjustment is made up of appointed citizens who are given the responsibility to decide whether an appeal should be granted or denied. These hearings are posted with public notices, and that was the only way I knew about it. I had no previous information on the people involved or the subject for this particular hearing.

Webster the pseudonym, from the famous statesman Daniel Webster, is based on more than the geographical relationship that both of us are from New Hampshire. Although, I must admit, that is part of it. Daniel Webster (1782 – 1852) was born and raised in Salisbury, NH. The summer after graduating from college I lived in a small Cape Cod style house in Salisbury, NH that dated from about the time Webster was born.
