A recent peer-reviewed study released by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty reveals that the longer students stay enrolled in school choice programs, the greater the academic growth and likelihood of outpacing their public school peers. While Wisconsin public schools continually fail students ideologically and educationally, school choice programs empower them to flourish. This study solidifies what we already know to be true: school choice provides students with the opportunity to excel. School choice saves the state money, gives parents a say in their children’s education, and sets students up for success. Overall, this is a win to everyone involved. Instead of dismantling it like some lawmakers suggest, Wisconsin must expand successful educational opportunities like school choice.
