A New Season with New Opportunities
There is something special about the beginning of a new school year. Across Wisconsin, the weather changes, schedules shift, and children are encountering new learning and growth opportunities whether in homeschool or in the classroom.
For our family, this school year is especially meaningful. My wife, Victoria, started her first week as a kindergarten teacher at a local Christian school last week. It has been such a joy to see her step into this new calling—and even more special that one of our own team members has a child in her classroom! It's pretty incredible watching our families serve together to invest in the next generation.
That same heart for the next generation is at the center of LEAD Wisconsin. Following another incredible summer with a record 156 campers, we are excited to launch our new LEAD Ambassador League program this month! This year-long mentorship opportunity will help young people to continue growing in their faith, leadership abilities, and Biblical worldview long after they leave camp. We don't simply want to inspire students for one week—we want to help raise up a generation of Christian leaders who will faithfully serve Christ wherever He calls them.
And now, as fall begins, we are turning our attention to another important opportunity: November's election.
Over the coming weeks, Wisconsin Family Council will be hosting a series of grassroots events around the state. We'll once again be gathering at Pizza Ranch locations for the kind of encouraging, practical evenings we've hosted in the past. We'll talk about the upcoming election, the constitutional amendment to protect churches from government-ordered closures, and how Christians can faithfully engage their communities and honor God with their vote.
Our current schedule is:
- Fond du Lac: Thursday, September 10
- Green Bay: Thursday, September 17
- La Crosse: Tuesday, September 22
- Waukesha: Thursday, October 1
- Wausau: Thursday, October 8
- October 15: Location TBD
- October 22: Location TBD
- October 27: Location TBD
You can see the latest schedule and register for an upcoming event HERE.
We're also inviting pastors to join us for special Pastor Luncheons where we'll pray for Wisconsin, discuss the importance of the November election, and talk about how pastors can encourage their congregations to faithfully engage. Additionally, we hope to help others understand the constitutional amendment that would protect churches from government forced closures during states of emergencies.
Pastor Luncheon dates are:
- Fond du Lac: September 10
- Waukesha: September 29
- Wausau: October 6
- Platteville: October 13
- Eau Claire: October 20
Pastors can find more information and register for these free events HERE.
The season is changing, and so is the work before us. From a kindergarten classroom to a LEAD mentorship program spanning across Wisconsin communities, we have an incredible opportunity to invest in the youth shaping our state's future.
Thank you for standing with us as we inspire the Church, ignite the next generation, impact elections, and influence public policy. Together, we are working toward Transforming Wisconsin for Biblical Influence.
