This Sunday, over 150 students from across Wisconsin will arrive at Maranatha Baptist University for LEAD Wisconsin. For one exciting week, these young people will be challenged to think Biblically, lead courageously, and discover how God can use them to make an impact.

As camp begins, I want to ask you to do something very important: please pray.

Pray that God would work in the hearts of every student. Pray that these teens would grow in their faith, develop lasting friendships, and gain the confidence to stand for Christ in their homes, churches, schools, and communities. I think of young people like Andy, who received Christ at our camp. Pray that God would transform the hearts of other young people this year.

One of the unique aspects of LEAD Wisconsin is the variety of tracks we offer, which allows students to experience firsthand what it looks like to lead in different fields:

Assembly Track participants are sworn in as members of the LEAD Wisconsin Assembly, where they work through real legislation from Wisconsin.

Senate Track campers take on the role of state senators, tackling more advanced legislative challenges as they draft amendments.

Media Track campers serve as journalists for the week, developing a daily newspaper and a daily news broadcast.

Business Track campers participate in a graduate level business simulation and “sell” stocks of their companies to other campers.

NEW: Moot Court Track students will develop critical thinking, public speaking, and legal reasoning skills as they analyze constitutional and legal issues, prepare arguments, and participate in courtroom simulations designed to help them understand the judicial branch.

While the daytime, real-life simulations are exciting, some of the most important moments happen each evening.

Every night, campers gather for worship and challenging messages from Christian speakers. These evening sessions encourage students to deepen their relationship with Christ, develop a Biblical worldview, and consider how God may be calling them to influence their generation. It is often during these times of worship, teaching, and fellowship that students make life-changing decisions about their faith, future, and purpose.
