HUGE WIN: Historic Medicaid Funding for Wisconsin
When I came to Congress, I made a promise to the families of Wisconsin's Third District: I would fight every day for rural America and ensure our communities have access to the healthcare they deserve.
For more than a year, I worked alongside President Trump, CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, and federal officials to secure a historic win for Wisconsin. Today, I am proud to announce that our state's Medicaid provider assessment will increase from less than 1.8% to 6%.
This change is expected to bring an estimated $9.6 billion in additional federal Medicaid funding to Wisconsin, strengthening our healthcare system for years to come
This historic funding will help:
- Protect and strengthen rural hospitals.
- Expand access to high-quality healthcare across Wisconsin.
- Support healthcare providers serving our communities.
- Ensure families, seniors, and veterans can continue receiving care close to home.
For too long, Wisconsin's provider assessment lagged behind other states, leaving billions of federal dollars on the table. I made fixing this a top priority because where you live should never determine the quality of healthcare you receive.
This is exactly the kind of result I came to Congress to deliver—working with the Trump Administration to bring real solutions back home that improve the lives of Wisconsin families.
I will continue fighting every day to protect rural healthcare, strengthen our communities, and deliver results for the people of Wisconsin's Third District.
