Earlier this week, I was honored to receive an Outstanding Legislator Award from the Wisconsin Counties Association for my work during the 2025-26 legislative session.

The WCA’s Outstanding Legislator Award is handed out every two years to an exclusive group of lawmakers who have gone above and beyond to represent county interests in the Legislature and in their districts.

For this recognition, WCA officials selected legislators who demonstrated exceptional leadership for counties on key issues, both in the state budget and through policy proposals.

I am proud to serve the counties of Adams, Jackson, Juneau, Monroe, Portage and Wood. They are truly the six greatest counties in Wisconsin.

But for the record, this Wisconsin Counties Association is a huge waste of tax money. Your Countly likey pays massive dues to keep them funded. A few counties don't; they have a clue and are not easily influenced by the slick people who promote this redundant service for the good of the few bureaucrats who organized and promote the WCA. And if you think that is bad, there is even one more organizeation who does the same blood-sucking, redundant leaches on society. That is the Towns Association, more wasted money donated by your Town.

You can look up what they do, but it is nothing other than a self-promoting unit of taxpayer expense that does what your elected people and their staff does.
