What an awesome day at the Holmen Kornfest Parade!
We were proud to walk alongside Keith Purnell, candidate for Wisconsin’s 94th Assembly District, and an enthusiastic group of local Republicans. The streets were filled with smiling families, patriotic neighbors, and the unmistakable community spirit that makes small-town celebrations like Kornfest so rewarding.
Western Wisconsin needs representation that understands our farms, small towns, veterans, and working families. Congressman Derrick Van Orden has shown that he is willing to bring attention and resources back home where they belong. Whether meeting with farmers in the district, serving on the House Agriculture Committee, or working on veterans’ issues, he has made clear that rural Wisconsin deserves a strong voice in Washington.
I want to begin by giving thanks to God and giving Him the glory. I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support of my wife, Jessica, and our two daughters, Sophia and Abigail. And thank you to voters across Wisconsin who turned out and placed their trust in me.
Now, our work continues.

I was named the “2026 Legislator of the Year” by the Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association (WSFCA) on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Chief Steve Denzien, WSFCA President, along with WSFCA Vice President Robert Goplin, and Platteville Fire Chief Ryan Simmons, presented the award at the Platteville Fire Station for my work supporting local fire departments across Wisconsin.
With the dust barely settled after the recent Primary Election Day and concerned citizens are still talking about the results it seems to be a good time to continue sharing thoughts about endorsements and primaries. Of course, our discussion will be impacted by Tuesday’s results making it all the more timely to air these observations and considerations.
A major party’s likely nominee for governor, state Rep. Francesca Hong, says she favors good schools. “Every child deserves a strong and comprehensive education,” her platform says.
So why, as a matter of policy, does she want to close the particular schools providing measurably great education for working-class kids?
Michael Lucas continues his examination of socialism by connecting it to historical fascism. He argues that once fascism is properly defined as a form of national socialism rooted in syndicalism and state direction of the economy, many modern self-described anti-fascists and democratic socialists share far more in common with the Fascists of the past than they care to admit.
I could not be more proud of the race we ran and am very grateful to our team and our amazing supporters for their hard work and dedication over these last 10 months. I congratulate Michael Alfonso on his victory and all of my opponents on their well-run races. While tonight’s outcome was not the one we wanted, I will remain committed to defending the conservative values I campaigned on. That means working to stop the rise of socialism and defeating the Democrats running for office in Wisconsin.
Earlier this week, Democrats nominated Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley for governor after a chaotic primary that saw him drop out, re-enter, and narrowly edge out radical Francesca Hong. Crowley now faces Congressman Tom Tiffany this November. Tiffany is a lifelong Wisconsinite, dairy farm kid, and small business owner who has fought for lower taxes, stronger public safety, and real accountability. He’s ready to end Evers’ 400-year property tax hike, freeze property taxes, and put working families first.
This November, a religious freedom Constitutional Amendment will appear on your ballot. This amendment prohibits the government from closing churches and other houses of worship during public health emergencies. A “yes” vote means that your church can decide when it will stay open and when it will close; a “no” vote means that bureaucrats in Madison will decide if your church can stay open during a public health emergency.
